June 14, 2018 Good CompanyI can't speak for other drivers' experiences, but I can say that mine has been extremely positive. I will admit, I am a rookie to the field of OTR driving. However, I do know a good company when I see one, and I have been treated very well here. Girton has been a life-changer for me. I started back in October '17, and as of mid June I have run 100,000 miles. My first OTR job, and they have set the bar so high, I frankly hope I never leave. From HR, to Payroll, to Compliance, to Maintenance even all the way up to Mr. Girton himself, everyone has been so professional and on point. No company is perfect, but they are nowhere near as bad as some of these other reviewers are claiming. Not even close... The star of the show, of course, has been my dispatcher. I simply could not have a better dispatch experience than I do with these guys. I run as hard as I want, I get home when I want/need to, I never, ever sit around waiting for loads, I am never forced to do anything, I am paid for everything (miles, detention, breakdown, stop pay, etc), and am on track to earn $69k this year. Interestingly enough, my recruiter claimed 2700 miles/week average, and $1320 gross/week average. I've carefully tracked my miles and pay since day one, and you want to guess what my averages are? 2764 miles and $1,323 exactly. If you run hard and do your job, you WILL earn what they say you will. The entire company runs like a well oiled team, and they are the example to be followed. I said it in the beginning, and I'll say it at the end: Girton has changed my life, and I am so grateful to be a part of the team! |

August 14, 2017 Liars and cheats In my opinionOffered me a job then they cut the pay, they cut the per stop pay by $14 a stop from what they told me on the phone. Not TO $14 a stop BY $14. Liars and cheats in my opinion. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY RUNNNNNN. |

August 09, 2016 AnonymousSucks since the merger Girton had some of the best paying loads. Not any more, the LLL dispatchers don't know their a** from a hole in the ground. They have fired the best people, after the dipsh*t CEO told us at OUR Christmas party "nothing will change" he not only quit and everything changed (for the worse) but he should've been indicted for embezzlement. This place is not the top tier Girton that I came to work for in 2014... This is a shell of a sh*t sandwich. I hope all drivers see what they're doing and leave so they will close their doors... F**K LLL!!!! |

June 18, 2016 DriverUsed to be a nice company (Girton) to work for. Now, all the good people have quit or been let go. Terri, Kellie, Andy, Ron, Debbie, JR, Dusty. All in the office. Dispatch sucks. Many of the drivers quit or quitting. Don't go there! |
